MADISON, Wis. – Men's Basketball kicked off 2026 home action at the Todd Wehr Edgedome Wednesday evening. They took on the Lakeland Muskies in NACC action. The Muskies (4-9, 2-4 NACC) pulled away in the second half for a 90-69 victory over the Eagles (1-11, 1-5).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After leading 10-6 at 16:39, Edgewood University soared over the next 4:56. They outscored Lakeland 15-8 to build up a 25-14 edge at 11:43. The Muskies roared to life, mounting a furious 15-3 barrage that pulled them ahead 29-28 at 4:28. The two squads combined for 29 points over the rest of the half, but a 7-2 finish had Lakeland ahead 45-41 heading into the locker room.
- A 9-5 stretch pulled the Eagles within 51-50 at 16:34 in the second half, but 14 unanswered from the visitors pushed the Muskies ahead 65-50 with 12:16 left. An 8-0 stretch pushed Edgewood University within 74-65 with 4:21 remaining, but Lakeland left little room for doubt with a 16-4 run to close out an impressive victory.
- The Eagles shot 1-of-11 from beyond the arc in the second half.
- Five Muskies scored in double figures. Asanjai Hunter finished with 23 points and six assists.
- Parker Braun shined with a 16-point, 13-rebound double-double.

Logan Steffensmeier contributed 10 of his own.
