MADISON, Wis. – Women's Tennis opened up their NACC Championship defense Friday at Quann Park. They took on a pair of conference foes in Wisconsin Lutheran and Marian. The Eagles (4-1, 2-0 NACC) started things off with a pair of strong showing, defeating both the Warriors (0-1, 0-1) and the Sabres (0-1, 0-1) by 7-0 margins.
MATCH ONE: EDGEWOOD UNIVERSITY 7, WISCONSIN LUTHERAN 0
- The Eagles would drop only one point in doubles.
Evelyn Taylor and
Hattie Plenty won 6-1 in top billing, while
Sophia Perret and
Lauryn Krober teamed up for a 6-0 win in the second slot.

Kaitlyn Narkis and
Christina Ekkela wrapped up doubles with a 6-0 final in the third slot.
- Taylor kept momentum rolling into singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory in top billing. After dropping the first set, Plenty rolled to a 1-6, 6-0, 6-1 victory in no. 2 singles.
- Perret and Narkis continued to impress with 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-0 victories in the third and fourth slots respectively.
- Ekkela put together a clean 6-0, 6-0 final in the fifth slot. Krober put a bow on the sweep with a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the sixth slot.
MATCH TWO: EDGEWOOD UNIVERSITY 7, WISCONSIN LUTHERAN 0
- Picking up where they left off, Taylor/Plenty earned a 6-2 victory in top billing before Perret/Krober followed up with a 6-1 final.
- Ekkela/Narkis recorded a 6-0 win in the third slot.
- The Eagles impressed in singles, dropping only four points. Taylor and Plenty won by identical 6-0, 6-0 margins in no. 1 and no. 2 singles respectively.
- After Perret tallied a 6-2, 6-1 margin in the third slot, Narkis followed up with a 6-1, 6-0 match in fourth billing.
- Ekkela and Krober finished singles the way it started with matching 6-0, 6-0 victories in fifth and sixth billing.

- Edgewood University has won 14-straight NACC contests dating back to the 2023-24 season.
