VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood University men's soccer team opened their 2025 home slate hosting UW-Stevens Point. The Eagles hung tough with the Pointers through the first half of action. Ultimately, the Eagles fell to the Pointers 1-0 in the Wednesday evening non-conference affair.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UW-Stevens Point (2-0-0) scored the only goal of the evening in the 51st minute on Wednesday. The Pointers goal came via penalty kick off the foot of Connor Urban.
- Edgewood University (1-1-1) held tough through the first 45 minutes, only allowing one shot from the Pointers.
- The Eagles led the Pointers 17-2 in shots take on Wednesday, with five shots on goal from the home side. Benjamin Brody recorded four shots for the Eagles, two on net. Gabe Voung added four shots.
- Griffin Meisterheim recorded one save for Edgewood University. Jacob Havlik posted five saves for UW-Stevens Point.
