MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Edgewood University women's soccer team struggled to find much offensive output on Wednesday evening. MSOE handed the Eagles their first conference loss; a 3-1 final from Milwaukee.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (4-4-1, 3-0-0 NACC) netted back-to-back goals at the 23rd and 30th minute mark to take an early 2-0 advantage on Wednesday evening.
- Faith Papazoglu scored first for the Raiders and assisted Elizabeth Kuhn for the second goal of the evening.
- Edgewood University (6-3-1, 2-1-0 NACC) got on the scoreboard in the 33rd minute via an own goal from MSOE.
- At halftime, MSOE led Edgewood University 6-3 in the shots column.
- Emma Swenson did a good job to keep the Raiders from scoring more in the second half, making a whopping seven saves in the final 45 minutes.
- The Raiders final goal came in the 83rd minute, a penalty kick goal from Papazoglou.
- Lacy Fabry led the Eagles with two shots, one on goal.
