Kalscheuer lifts Eagles past Buccaneers

BELOIT, Wis. – The Edgewood University women's soccer team earned their second-straight victory on Friday afternoon, defeating Beloit College 1-0. A second half goal from Stephanie Kalscheuer gave the Eagles their fourth win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With just 15 minutes remaining in the battle between Edgewood University (4-1-1) and Beloit College (1-3-1) was scoreless. It took Stephanie Kalscheuer just one shot to change the tides in favor of the Eagles. In the 76th minute, Kalscheuer netted the winning goal, assisted by Megan Hines.

- The Eagles easily outshot the Buccaneers on Friday afternoon, leading 17-5 in the category. 11 of the Eagles. Shots came in the first half of action.

- Rylee Brotz led the Eagles in shots with five on the afternoon. Four shots from Brotz were on target. Hines and Kayla Kerkman each managed three shots each in the non-conference contest.

- Madeline Brown and Emma Swenson split time in net for the Eagles. Swenson recorded two saves in the second half of action.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Edgewood University leads the all-time series vs Beloit 14-3-2.

- Kalscheuer's goal was her first of the season and fourth all-time as an Eagle.
