PELLA, Iowa – The Edgewood University women's soccer team opened the 2025 season at Central College on Friday. The Dutch handed the Eagles a 1-0 loss, that featured seven saves from the Central goalkeeper.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Central College (1-0) opened their 2025 season with an early goal in the 18th minute.
- Edgewood University (0-1) managed six shots in the final 45 minutes.
- Rylee Brotz led the Eagles attack with four shots, putting three on goal.
- Zoey Sizemore was key for the Central defense, making a whopping seven saves and keeping the Eagles off the scoreboard.
- Madeline Brown and Emma Swenson shared time in goal for the Eagles. Both goalkeepers made one save each.
