Raiders hand Eagles first NACC Tournament defeat

GLENDALE, Wis. – The Eagles continued their NACC Tournament journey Friday. They faced off with the MSOE Raiders. The Raiders (26-16) got the better of the Eagles (22-21) in a 10-6 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE sent five across home in the first inning, capped off by a home run down the right field line. An RBI single to right field in the second had the Raiders ahead 6-0.

- A Terry Tolliver Jr. home run sparked a three-run third for Edgewood College. Kyle Prindle followed up with a RBI single to left center, while a MSOE error helped plate another run.

- While the Raiders tallied three in the fourth, including a single up the middle and a sacrifice fly, Cashton Jones settled in well in a long relief outing. He pitched six innings, allowing one earned run, three hits, and striking out three.

- Prindle singled up the middle in the fifth as the Eagles kept the pressure on. Tolliver and Jacob Carney each swung for RBI singles in the sixth as Edgewood College closed within three. MSOE would keep them at arm's length, shutting them down in the last three innings and tacking on an RBI groundout in the ninth to seal the victory.

- Hamilton pitched well in a complete game for the Raiders. He struck out seven while throwing 136 pitches.

- Tolliver Jr. hit 3-for-5 with three RBIs, a double, and a home run. Hayden Hellenbrand tallied two hits with a double and a pair of runs.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Tolliver Jr.'s seven home runs paces the Eagles and is tied for seventh on the single-season record books.
