MADISON, Wis. – Women's Tennis hosted a NACC Tournament Semifinal at the Powless Tennis Center Friday. As the top seed, they took on the fourth-seeded Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks. The Eagles (16-9) punched their ticket to the NACC Tournament Final with a 4-0 victory against the Scarlet Hawks (6-9).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College kicked things off with a pair of doubles victories.

Madelyn Connaughty earned a 6-4 final in no. 2 doubles, while
Christina Ekkela/
Sarah Emory helped seal the doubles point with a 6-2 victory in the third slot.
- Plenty continued to roll in singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory in no. 3 singles. Ekkela added on a 6-2, 6-1 tally in the fourth slot.
- Emory put the finishing touch, helping the Eagles advance to the NACC Tournament Final with a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The 16 wins in the season are the Eagles' most since the 2018-19 season.
- Edgewood College has reached the NACC Tournament Final in each of
Kevin Friend's three seasons as head coach.
UP NEXT
The Eagles will head to Kohler, Wis. for the NACC Tournament Final Sunday. They'll take on the St. Norbert Green Knights for the conference crown. First serve is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
