Eagles down Green Knights on Senior Day

VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College softball team celebrated the careers of Kya Loffswold, Camden Shepherd, Olivia Hebert, Tatum Duff, and Grace Ott on Friday in a NACC doubleheader against St. Norbert College. Edgewood College took home game one via a 5-2 final before steady rain in game two ended in a no contest result.

EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 5, ST. NORBERT COLLEGE 2
- St. Norbert College (9-30, 8-15 NACC) opened scoring in game one, scoring in the top of the first inning. Edgewood College (12-25, 7-14 NACC) tied the contest in the bottom of the second inning, as pinch runner Grace Baugnet scored via a wild pitch.

- The Eagles broke things open in the fourth inning, trailing 2-1 going into the bottom of the frame. An RBI single off the bat of Grace Ott placed Kya Loffswold to tie the contest at two runs apiece. Olivia Hebert scored to give the Eagles a 3-2 advantage before a two-run home run from Lily Mabs gave the Eagles five runs.

- Lauren Prigge earned the complete-game victory on Friday. The freshman struck out two batters and allowed just one earned run on the day.

- Loffswold, Hebert, and Ott all recorded two hits on the afternoon.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Hebert's two hits give her 200 career hits across four seasons. The senior is the second in Edgewood College softball history to reach the mark. Hebert now ranks second behind Jennifer Stephens (2005-08) who owns the career hits mark at 227.

-  Edgewood College will wrap up the 2025 season at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday. Doubleheader action is set for 12:00 p.m. from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
