Hebert breaks doubles record, Eagles Swept by Raiders

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Edgewood College softball team was swept in a NACC doubleheader at MSOE on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles fell in a pair of five-inning games, 10-2 in the opener, before dropping game two, 13-3.

MSOE 10, EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 2 – 5 INNINGS
- MSOE (10-14, 6-2 NACC) jumped out to a 7-1 lead through four innings in game one. The Raiders would add on three runs in the fifth inning for a 10 run final. Edgewood College (9-19, 4-8 NACC) plated a run in the top of the second inning, thanks to an RBI double off the bat of Natalie Fields. The Eagles second run of the contest came in the top of the fifth frame, as Olivia Hebert scored on an RBI single up the middle from Kya Loffswold.

- Fields and Loffswold each recorded two hits in game one.

- Hebert roped a double, making her the Eagles career doubles leader. The senior moved past current assistant coach Jamie Kurt's (2006-09) mark of 48 career doubles.

- Lauren Prigge pitched four innings for the Eagles.

- The MSOE bats combined for 14 hits in game one, three of which were doubles.

MSOE 13, EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 3 – 5 INNINGS
- The Raiders bats continued in the nightcap, as MSOE got out to a 6-0 lead after just one inning.

- The Eagles scored one run in the second inning, as Gracie Halfman came home to score on an RBI double down the left field line from Camden Shepherd.

- Edgewood College plated two runs in the third inning, but it wasn't enough to slow down the Raiders, who scored five times in the bottom of the third frame.

- Allie Draper went 2-for-3 at the plate in game two. Loffswold, Lily Mabs, and Shepherd each recorded a double.

- Kaitlin Pratt went 2.2 innings in the circle for the Eagles, striking out two batters.

- Four Raiders recorded two or more hits in the nightcap.

- Edgewood College will host Aurora University on Friday, April 18. Action is set for 12:00 p.m. from Ceniti Park.
