EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's lacrosse team traveled to UW-Eau Claire on Friday evening. The Eagles fell 25-3 in the non-conference battle. Emma Raupp led the Eagles attack on Friday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UW-Eau Claire (3-0) posted a dominant first quarter scoring effort on Friday evening. The Blugolds scored a whopping 10 goals in the first 15 minutes. Five different UW-Eau Claire players scored a goal in the opening quarter.
- The Blugolds would score twice more in the second quarter before Emma Raupp put Edgewood College (0-3) on the board with 6:28 remaining before the break. UW-Eau Claire score four times in the second quarter to take a 14-1 advantage into halftime.
- The Blugolds continued to pile on the goals, scoring seven times in the third quarter. Raupp netted her second goal of the evening for the Eagles in the final five minutes of the third quarter.
- Macy Augustine netted a player-up goal in the fourth quarter, the first of her career.
- Zoee Pond recorded a career-best 15 saves in net for the Eagles.
THE OPPOSITION
- Reegan Werner led the Blugolds with nine goals and three assists. She added four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- Devon Crews and Ellie Fisher each collected four goals on the evening.
- Paige Kiani recorded a team-best seven draw controls. She added three caused turnovers, two assists and a goal.
- Alexandria Shea collected six saves in net for the Blugolds.
