MADISON, WIS. – Men's Tennis continued nonconference action Sunday at the Powless Tennis Center. They faced off with the Ripon Red Hawks. The Eagles (6-11) claimed a 5-2 victory against the Red Hawks (5-9).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The squads would split no. 1 and no. 2 doubles, with
Jon Olafsson and
Marek Woytasik winning 6-1 in the first slot.
Taite Thomas and
Justin Hutchcroft fell 6-4 in second billing.

Andrew Hoffmann and
William Faley would clinch the doubles point in no. 3 doubles with a 6-4 victory.
- Olafsson fell just short in a marathon of a match in top singles. He lost 6-7 (5-7), 7-5, 1-0 (10-4). Hutchcroft would earn the win in no. 2 singles to put Edgewood College back in the lead 2-1.
- Hoffmann would clinch the match in third singles with a 7-5, 6-4 final. Woytasik put the cherry on top with a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
- Thomas rallied for a 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6) win in the fifth slot. Faley conceded a 6-1, 6-4 final in sixth billing.
UP NEXT
The Eagles will hit the road for a three-match NACC road trip. They'll travel to Jackson, Wis. to face off with the Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors. First serve on Saturday is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
