Raupp eclipses 200 points, Eagles down Lawrence

APPLETON, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's lacrosse team picked up their second conference victory on Saturday. The Eagles claimed a 15-5 win over Lawrence University to remain undefeated in conference play. The Eagles has now opened NACC play with a 2-0 record for the third time in program history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (3-5, 2-0 NACC) took advantage of a fast offensive start on Saturday, scoring 10 unanswered goals to take a 10-0 advantage into halftime. The Eagles scored five goals in the first and second quarters on Saturday. Lauryn Brown netted the Eagles first goal, assisted by Rachel Unitan in the first minute of action.

- Raupp recorded a hat trick before the first 15 minutes had elapsed on Saturday afternoon. All but one of the Eagles goals in the first quarter was assisted.

- Kerry Costello and Madelyn Kilday contributed to the Eagles scoring efforts at Lawrence (1-5, 0-2 NACC) in the second quarter.

- Lawrence got on the scoreboard in the third quarter, scoring four times. Edgewood College scored three goals after the break and took a 13-4 lead into the final quarter.

- Brown scored the Eagles final two goals in the final 15 minutes on Saturday, both assisted by Raupp. The Eagles held the Vikings to just one goal in the final quarter.

TOP PERFORMERS
- Raupp totaled seven goals and three assists on Saturday. The senior added four draw controls and two caused turnovers.

- Brown added a career-best four goals. The sophomore added four draw controls and six ground balls.

- Kerry Costello scored twice in the victory.

- Malak Daoud dished out a career-best three assists.

- Unitan dished out a career-best and single-game record, six assists.  

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Raupp became the first in Edgewood College women's lacrosse program history to eclipse the 200 point mark. Already the Eagles points leader, Raupp's 10 points on Saturday put her at the 209 mark in her three-season career. Raupp owns 189 goals and 20 assists across 40 contests in her career.

THE OPPOSITION
- Evelyn Pryadkin recorded nine saves in net for Vikings.

- Lydia Lueck scored four goals and dished out one assist for Lawrence.

- Sophia Labrecque and Emma Perry each recorded four draw controls.

UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will travel to Marian University on Wednesday. Action is set for 5:00 p.m. from Fond du Lac, Wis.
