DE PERE, WIS. – Men's Volleyball hit the road as they continued a key stretch of NACC action. They took on the St. Norbert Green Knights. The Eagles (6-12, 3-6 NACC) started out strong, but the Green Knights (9-13, 3-6) battled back to earn a 3-1 (20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-13) victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Three kills and two blocks propelled a 5-0 rally for Edgewood College as they led 9-4 in the first set. The Eagles would continue to soar, scoring in two-point chunks as they built up to a 19-11 advantage. St. Norbert clawed back within 20-17 on a 6-1 rally, but a 4-2 run to the finish had Edgewood College ahead 1-0.
- The Green Knights outhit the Eagles .351-to-.350 in the set.
- After Edgewood College bounced ahead 10-7, four unanswered from St. Norbert helped the hosts keep pace. The Eagles replied with a 7-2 rally for a 17-13 advantage. St. Norbert roared to life with five points in a row, and while Edgewood College blunted their momentum some with three points straight, the Green Knights would even the match with four in a row.
- St. Norbert continued to roll in set three. A 5-1 rally had them ahead 10-7 early, and another 5-1 sprint boosted the edge to 15-10. The Eagles had the wind at their back as their offense and defense kicked into gear on a 9-4 sprint to even the set 19-19. A 5-1 finisher from the Green Knights pushed the visitors to a 2-1 lead.
- St. Norbert launched ahead 12-4 in the fourth set as Edgewood College struggled to find answers. The Green Knights outhit the Eagles .321-to-.063 in the decisive set.

- Mullane's 20 digs is his personal best and matches the single-match program record.

Edgewood College will return to the Todd Wehr Edgedome Tuesday evening for more conference action. They'll take on the Lakeland Muskies with first serve scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
