ORLANDO, FLA. – Women's Tennis continued Spring Break action Tuesday in Florida. They faced off with the Hamline Pipers. The Eagles (14-5) hung tough with the Pipers (5-5) but were unable to find their breakthrough in a 7-0 defeat.

Marissa Light battled in no. 1 singles but fell to a 6-4 margin.
Hattie Plenty and
Madelyn Connaughty played well in a 6-4 loss in the second slot.

Christina Ekkela and
Sarah Emory competed in a marathon of a match in third doubles, falling 7-6 (7-3).
- In singles, Taylor's rally came up short in a 6-1, 7-5 defeat in no. 1 singles. Light dropped a 6-1, 6-2 final in second billing.
- Plenty conceded a 6-1, 6-1 final in no. 3 singles. Connaughty fell just shy in a 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6) defeat in the fourth slot.
- Ekkela lost 6-4, 6-1 in fifth billing. Emory wrapped up the affair with a 6-3, 6-0 setback in no. 6 singles.

Edgewood College will continue action in Orlando, Fla. Thursday. They'll battle with Springfield College and St. Lawrence University. First serve against Springfield is at 7:00 a.m. ET and against Lawrence is at 6:00 p.m. ET.
