VERONA, Wis. – Six goals in both the first and second quarter put Edgewood College in the driver's seat against Hamline on Monday afternoon. The Eagles took home their first victory of 2025, coming against the Pipers, 18-11 in their first-ever meeting. Emma Raupp netted a game-high seven goals, while Rachel Unitan dished out a whopping five assists to surpass 100 career points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (1-4) opened Monday afternoon with a whopping six goals in the first quarter. Kerry Costello got the scoring going early for the Eagles, while Raupp netted a hat trick before the end of the first quarter. Edgewood College took a 6-1 lead into the second quarter.
- Christina Eloe used her speed and power to score the first two Eagle goals of the second quarter. Malak Doud and Lauryn Brown both scored to help the Eagles take a 12-5 advantage into halftime.
- Hamline (0-4) scored five goals in the third quarter to reduce the Eagles advantage to just five goals (15-10) going into the final 15 minutes.
- Raupp scored three times in the final quarter to help lift the Eagles to victory. Raupp's offensive effort, combined with confident defense from the Eagles solidified the fourth quarter and held Hamline to just one goal.
- Edgewood College led Hamline 37-21 in shots on Monday.
- The Eagles dominated the draw, collecting 21 compared to just 11 from the Pipers.
TOP PERFORMERS
- Raupp led the Eagles with a season-best seven goals and one assist on Monday.
- Eloe did a bit of everything for the Eagles on Monday; collecting four goals, 10 ground balls, five draw controls and four caused turnovers. The junior went 3-for-3 on free position shots.
- Costello posted a season-best, hat trick in the non-conference battle.
- Unitan dished out a game-high five assists, tying her career-best mark.
- Freshman Madelyn Kilday and Daoud scored their first goals as an Eagle on Monday.
- Zoee Pond recorded six saves for Edgewood College in net.

- Ema Rehder and Lauren Moorhouse recorded a pair of hat tricks for Hamline.
- Rehder and Avery Wilson added two assists on the day.
- Moorhouse collected a team-high nine draw controls.
- Brouwer recorded 11 saves for the Pipers and caused three turnovers.
