MEQUON, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's basketball team traveled to Mequon to take on Concordia University Wisconsin in the 2024-25 regular season finale. The Eagles fell 56-48 to the Falcons on Saturday. A slow offensive start coupled with turnovers doomed the Eagles and stifled their comeback in the second half.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia University Wisconsin (13-12, 12-4 NACC) outscored Edgewood College (14-11, 10-6 NACC) 13-8 in the opening quarter. Tough defense and turnovers saw a low scoring second quarter, where both teams came away with nine points each. The Falcons took a 22-17 lead into halftime.
- The Eagles scored the first six points of the third quarter, taking a 23-22 lead with 8:58 remaining. The Falcons held close with the Eagles, scoring 11 points and taking a 33-31 lead into the final quarter.
- Both teams shot their best in the final 10 minutes, but Concordia Wisconsin came away with the victory behind 23 points and 66.67 percent (10-for-15) percent shooting. The Eagles shot 53.33 (8-for-15) percent in the final quarter, but it wasn't enough to take down the Falcons on their home court.
- Vivian Guerrero posted 16 points, pulled down nine rebounds and added two blocks.
- Kallie Norby totaled 10 points and five rebounds.
- Jayden Nortier scored nine points for the Eagles, going 3-for-6 from the floor.
THE OPPOSITION
- Ava Booth recorded 16 points for the Falcons, going 6-for-9 from the floor and connecting on 2-for-4 from beyond the arc. She added seven rebounds.
- Aubrey DeBauch did a bit of everything on Saturday, collecting 11 points, pulling down five rebounds and dishing out five assists.
- The Falcons shot 40.4 percent (23-for-57) from the floor in the victory.

- The seventh-seeded Edgewood College Eagles will travel to face second-seeded Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors on Tuesday, February 25. Action is set to take place at 7:00 p.m.
