Eagles Men's Lacrosse Preview

The fifth season in men's lacrosse history kicks off Saturday. They will head east to face off with the Calvin Knights Saturday. The Eagles enter 2025 looking for their first-ever NACC Tournament berth in a conference with a few new foes.

“We are very excited for the season this year as we have a lot of returners, so we have an experienced team,” said head coach Garrett Wohlford. 

2025 Men's Lacrosse Schedule

After hitting the road for their first two games, Edgewood College opens up home action with Clark on Saturday, March 1. They'll get an early introduction to one of the new members of the NACC as they kick off conference action at a strong Lake Forest squad on Wednesday, March 19. Illinois Tech comes to town Saturday, March 22 for the first home conference battle of the season.

A three-game homestand greets the Eagles as they kick off April. They'll host Lawrence on Wednesday, April 2 before battling with defending NACC Champion Aurora on Saturday, April 5. Another new conference foe wraps up the home stretch in Dubuque on Wednesday, April 9. Edgewood College will wrap up the regular season with a pair of home matchups, against Concordia Wisconsin on Saturday, April 19 and Beloit on Wednesday, April 23.

 “With the addition of new teams to the conference, it will make each game that much more important and make playoffs that much more exciting!" said Wohlford.

Garrett Wohlford is set for his fourth season leading the Eagles Men's Lacrosse program. Wohlford looks to lead Edgewood College to the NACC Tournament for the first time in program history.

By the Numbers

48 - Zach Thomas led all Eagles with 48 points on the season. He matched the team high with 27 goals and paced the offense with 21 assists

172 - Luke Quakenbush played the majority of time in goal in 2024, posting a team-high 172 saves.

2 - The Eagles return two All-NACC players from last year's squad. Lake Rewey and Andrew Stich earned Honorable Mention nods.

3.11- Edgewood College collected a USILA Team Academic Award with a 3.11 GPA as a team as they succeeded in the classroom.

“I’m looking forward to having James Borgardt back from injury as he is such a versatile player for us,” said Wohlford. “Overall, it’ll be a fun year and I’m excited to see how far we can go!”
