FOND DU LAC, WIS. – Women's Basketball hit the road Saturday for more NACC action. They traveled to battle with the Marian Sabres. The Eagles (4-3, 3-0 NACC) cruised, a strong second quarter propelling them to a 79-54 victory over the Sabes (0-7, 0-3).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood University started strong, leading 11-2 with 3:40 left in the first quarter. A cold stretch helped Marian finish the first quarter on a 7-2 rally to keep pace with the visitors.
- Six unanswered helped the Eagles push their lead to 19-9. Up 27-20 with 4:13 left in the half, Edgewood University's offense soared high with a 14-3 burst to close the half ahead 41-23.
- The Sabres had no answers for the Eagles in the second half. The Edgewood University lead would never shrink below 18, while the Eagles led by 28 77-45 with 1:49 remaining in the game.
- Edgewood University outshot Marian 37 (30-of-81) percent to 24.6 (15-of-61) percent from the floor in a strong showing.
- The Eagles stood tall in the paint with a 36-to-10 advantage in points there. They also had a 20-to-9 edge in points off of turnovers and a 14-to-0 gap in fast break points.
- Five Edgewood University players posted nine or more points.
Grace Vesperman earned nine points and a team-high 10 rebounds.

Laci Lindsey paced the victorious Eagles with 14 points.
Ella Hamacher tallied 12 of her own.

Kate Gunderson recorded 10 points and four rebounds each.

Taylor Wollin played a key part in Edgewood University's victory. She posted six rebounds, six assists, and four steals alongside seven points.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Eagles have won four of their last five games.
- Wollin's six assists and four steals were both personal bests.
- Edgewood University leads the NACC with 42.6 rebounds per game. They also pace the conference with four blocked shots per game.
- Guerrero has the most blocked shots per game of any player in the NACC with 1.7 per game.

The Eagles will return to the Todd Wehr Edgedome one last time in 2025 on Wedesday. They'll host the UW-River Falls Falcons in nonconference action. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
