VERONA, Wis. – After a scoreless first half, MSOE scored twice in the second half of the NACC Tournament Semifinal to upset top-seeded Edgewood University. The Raiders bested the Eagles, snapping a program-best 14 game win streak. With the 2-0 victory, MSOE advances to the NACC Tournament Final.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The fourth-seeded MSOE Raiders (13-5-3) handed Edgewood University (15-2-2) their first loss to a conference opponent in 2025. The Raiders scored just 2:41 into the second half on Tuesday evening. Lachlan Ladd gave the Raiders the 1-0 lead.
- Danny Aranda netted his first goal of the season in the 70th minute to solidify the victory for MSOE.
- Edgewood University posted 11 shots in the first half, but none made their way past the Raiders goalkeeper.
- Christian Dershem did well to hold the Eagles scoreless, making nine saves on the evening, four coming in the first half.
- Maverick Van Laanen managed three saves for the Eagles.
- Liam Moreira led Edgewood University with five shots, two on net.
