MADISON, Wis. – Men's Basketball wrapped up back-to-back home games Tuesday at the Todd Wehr Edgedome. They hosted UW-Oshkosh, ranked #17 in Division III. The Titans (4-1) turned on the pressure to ground the Eagles (0-4) 90-63.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- A fast-paced start from the Titans had them ahead 9-2 at 16:43. While a 7-3 response from Edgewood University would trim the edge to 12-9 at 14:00, UW-Oshkosh responded by raining threes, pulling ahead 23-11 with 10 minutes left in the half. An 13-3 rally from the Eagles pulled them back within 26-24, but a 15-5 reply from the Titans had them surging ahead 41-26 with 2:23 and a late three would blunt Edgewood University's momentum late as they headed to the locker room up 44-35.
- After an early three, UW-Oshkosh's lead would never shrink back below nine. The Titans were relentless in pressuring the Eagles as the hosts struggled with turnovers. UW-Oshkosh would lead by as much as 28 as they claimed victory.
- The Titans posted a 32-9 advantage in points off turnovers. They shot 44.7 (34-of-76) from the field, including shooting 19-of-38 in the second half.
- Three UW-Oshkosh shooters finished with double-digit points. Brandon Beck paced the game with 26 points, including 5-of-8 three-point shooting.
- Five Titans had two or more steals.
