DE PERE, WIS. – Women's Soccer traveled north Wednesday night for a NACC showdown. They took on the St. Norbert Green Knights in a physical affair. A stifling defense coupled with a goal in each half sent the Eagles (8-4-1, 4-2 NACC) home happy with a 2-0 victory against the Green Knights (2-10-1, 2-4-1).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood University controlled the first half, outshooting St. Norbert 13-2. The Eagles got on the board at 10:39 with a
Rylee Brotz chip shot from
Megan Hines.
- The Edgewood University defense kept their talons in the Green Knights attack during the second half. After
Madeline Brown recorded a pair of saves in the first half,
Emma Swenson stepped up in goal for the second half with four saves and helped complete a combined shutout.
- At 89:18 the Eagles tacked on an insurance goal for good measure.
Greta Blau put the game out of reach with an assist from Brotz as Edgewood University earned a hard-fought road victory.
- Brotz finished with three shots on goal alongside her assist and goal.

- Edgewood University is now 11-12-3 all-time against St. Norbert.

The Eagles will return home to Edgewood University Field at Reddan Park Saturday for more NACC action. They will host the Dominican Stars. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
