MEQUON, Wis. – Greta Blau returned to the field in style for Edgewood University, netting a hat trick in her first conference contest of the season. The Eagles defeated Concordia Wisconsin 3-0 in conference action on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood University (7-4-1, 3-2-0 NACC) claimed their third NACC victory of the season behind a hat trick from Greta Blau. The senior netted her first goal against NACC opposition this season in the 23rd minute on Saturday.
- The Eagles went into halftime with a 1-0 advantage. Both teams were even on shots with five each through the first 45 minutes.
- Blau continued to roll in the second half, scoring in the 63rd minute and 87th minute. Fellow senior Rylee Brotz was key in the second half offensive attack, assisting on both goals.
- The Eagles ended the contest outshooting Concordia Wisconsin (4-5-3, 3-2-0 NACC) 13-9.
- Madeline Brown claimed the shutout victory, recording four saves in net for the Eagles. Kara Claussner recorded five saves in net for the Falcons.

- Edgewood University snaps a 10-game losing streak vs Concordia Wisconsin. The Eagles last beat the Falcons on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
- Blau's hat trick is the first of her career. The senior has scored two goals in a contest on four different occasions in her career.
