MEQUON, Wis. – The Edgewood University men's soccer team claimed their sixth-straight victory on Saturday, a 3-0 shutout of Concordia University Wisconsin. Goals from Gabe Voung, Ben Brody, and Jack Knight in the second half lifted the Eagles to victory. Edgewood University remains undefeated in conference play in 2025.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood University (7-1-2, 5-0-0 NACC) and Concordia University Wisconsin (1-7-3, 0-4-1 NACC) remained scoreless through 69 minutes of action on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles took a whopping 11 shots in the first half of action but put none on target.
- Gabe Voung broke through for the Eagles with 69:32 on the clock. Just three minutes later, Ben Brody would net the Eagles second goal, converting a pass from Anthony Campos.
- Less than two minutes after Brody's goal, Jack Knight joined the scoring parade. The Eagles third and final goal of the afternoon assisted by Conor Bruce.
- The Eagles only allowed one shot from the Falcons on Saturday, coming in the second half. Edgewood University took a whopping 27 shots, eight on target in the conference contest.
- Despite not finding the back of the net, Brandon Kaup and Cristian Torres-Gale were key members of the Eagles attack, taking five and four shots, respectively.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Eagles victory on Saturday is their first in Mequon since 2007.
