Eagles down Warriors in regular season finale

VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood University women's soccer team earned their final conference victory of the 2025 regular season under the lights at Edgewood University Field at Reddan Park. The Eagles shutout Wisconsin Lutheran College 2-0 on Wednesday evening, claiming their eighth-straight victory. Greta Blau and Madi Johnson both scored for the Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- It took Edgewood University (14-4-1, 10-2-0 NACC) 52 minutes to score on Wednesday evening. The Eagles and Warriors were scoreless through the first half of action, with the Eagles leading 12-3 in shots.

- Greta Blau put the Eagles on the scoreboard in the 53rd minute.

- Blau continued to dominate offensively scoring in the 59th minute, assisted by Kamy Luecke.

- A 2-0 lead wasn't enough for the Eagles, as Madi Johnson found the back of the net on a free kick in the 64th minute.

- Edgewood University led Wisconsin Lutheran College (7-6-3, 4-5-3 NACC) 21-7 in shots on the evening.

Emma Swenson earned the start in net for the Eagles, making three saves.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Edgewood University will host a NACC Tournament game for the first time since the 2016 season. This is the fourth time the Eagles will play in the NACC Tournament under head coach Derek Helmer

- The Eagles 10-2 conference mark and 14 total wins is the best since the 2013 season.

- Edgewood University now owns 12 shutouts on the season, eight coming in conference play.
