MADISON, WIS. – Women's Volleyball hosted a tri-match at the Todd Wehr Edgedome Saturday. They took on the Rockford Regents and the Carroll Pios. The Eagles (17-6, 8-0 NACC) had an eventful day, extending their win streak to eight with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 27-25) victory over the Regents and a 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-22) win against the Pios (13-12).
MATCH ONE: EDGEWOOD UNIVERSITY 3, ROCKFORD 0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-22)
- After the Regents started out 4-0, the Eagles rattled off 12 unanswered as
Abbey Eivins held serve for 11 straight points. Edgewood University would control the first set, finishing on a 6-2 sprint.
- Five in a row propelled the Eagles to a 12-8 advantage in the second set. Rockford would put together a 5-1 response to draw even at 18 apiece, but the Edgewood University offense dominated on a 7-1 burst for a 2-0 lead in the match.
- 4-0 and 9-3 rallies pushed the Eagles ahead 20-13 in the third set. The Regents had some fight in them left, a furious 10-3 response drawing the visitors to a 23-23 tie. Rockford would never pull to set point as Edgewood University closed the match on a 4-2 job.
- The Eagles controlled the match on offense, outhitting the Regents .255-to-.064. They had a 43-to-28 edge in kills.

Katie Borchert tallied 14 kills and nine digs with a .382 hitting percentage on 34 swings.
Payton Millin posted seven kills and three blocks, while
Natalie Murphy earned eight kills.
- Eivins paced the team with 19 assists. She also contributed a pair of aces and eight digs.
- Gunderson tallied 13 assists and two aces.
Mia Hinkamper recorded 17 digs.
- Amelia Rodriguez tallied 11 kills and four blocks for Rockford.
MATCH TWO: EDGEWOOD UNIVERSITY 3, CARROLL 0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-22)
- The squads wrestled for control of the first set and after exchanging 4-1 rallies the Eagles sat ahead 14-13. Edgewood University soared from there on a 11-4 burst to take a 1-0 match lead.
- The Eagles kept soaring on momentum early in the second frame, offense and defense working in tandem for five unanswered points. Edgewood University dropped another run in the middle of the frame, a 9-3 burst pulling the Eagles ahead 19-9 on route to a 25-15 set two victory.
- The Pios nursed a slim lead in the opening serves of the third frame as they tried to force a fourth set. A 4-0 sprint from Edgewood University gave them a 13-11 edge, while a later 5-0 explosion on offense pushed the hosts ahead 20-15. Carroll would close within one with four points in a row, but the Eagles held off the Pios for the sweep.
- Edgewood University played well on offense and defense. They outhit the Pios .295-to-.131 and posted a 65-to-50 advantage in digs.
- Borchert did a bit of everything. She swung for 14 kills on a .300 hitting percentage, earned five blocks, and tallied nine digs.

Nida Zukauskaite recorded 11 kills and an ace.
- Four Eagles posted double-digit digs. Eivins earned a 19-assist, 12-dig double-double and Gunderson did as well with 16 assists and 10 digs.
- Hinkamper posted a team-high 14 digs and
Jennacy Wille 11.

Molly Amendt shined. She tallied 10 kills on 16 attempts with no errors for a .625 hitting percentage.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Millin reached the 200 career blocks milestone versus Rockford.
- Edgewood University paces the NACC and is ninth in Division III with 2.38 blocks per set as a team.
- Amendt's 10 kills against Carroll were a new career best.
- Borchert joined Millin in the 200 career block club with her five against the Pios.

The Eagles will wrap up their four-match homestand with a NACC showdown. They will host the St. Nobert Green Knights Thursday at the Todd Wehr Edgedome. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
