FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Edgewood University women's soccer team claimed their fourth-straight victory on Wednesday at Marian University. The Eagles defeated the Sabres 2-1 in conference action. Goals from Greta Blau and Stephanie Kalscheuer were the difference on Wednesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood University (10-4-1, 6-2-0 NACC) and Marian University (6-6-3, 3-4-1 NACC) were scoreless through 63 minutes of action on Wednesday. The Eagles and Sabres both had scoring opportunities in the first 45 minutes, with the Eagles leading in shots 5-4.
- Greta Blau opened scoring in the 64th minute, netting her seventh goal of the season.
- Stephanie Kalscheuer found the back of the net just four minutes later, netting a pass from Kamy Luecke.
- The Sabres scored in the final minute, but it was too little too late. Brianna Guelig scored, assisted from Emily Gordillo.
- Madeline Brown went the distance in net for the Eagles, making two saves.

- Edgewood University now owns 32 wins all-time over Marian. The Eagles and Sabres all-time series sits at 32-9-5.
- With just four conference contests remaining, the Eagles sit in third place in NACC standings.
