CHICAGO, Ill. – Senior Vivian Guerrero became the 12th Edgewood College women's basketball player to reach 1,000 career points as the Eagles picked up a NACC road win over Illinois Tech Wednesday. The Eagles remained undefeated in conference play with the victory on Wednesday, fueled by 46 bench points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vivian Guerrero joined the 1,000-point club with the second basket of the game, coming just 59 seconds into the contest. Guerrero connected on a jumper in the paint to reach the milestone.
- The Edgewood College (7-5, 3-0 NACC) offense came out of the gate hot on Wednesday night, shooting a game-best 66.67 percent (10-for-15) from the floor in the opening quarter. The Eagles posted 23 points to lead Illinois Tech (5-7, 1-2 NACC) by 16 points after 10 minutes of action.
- The Eagles continued to roll in the second quarter, scoring another 23 points before halftime. 10 different Eagles scored in the second quarter, highlighted by back-to-back three-point makes from Kenzie Senffner.
- The Scarlet Hawks recorded their best shooting coming out of halftime. Illinois Tech shooting 53.85 percent (7-for-13) from the floor in the third quarter and matching the Eagles attack with 18 points. Edgewood College would hold on to a 28-point lead (64-36) going into the final 10 minutes.
- Edgewood College held Illinois Tech to just nine points in the final 10 minutes. Five different Eagles scored in the final quarter, with Payton Grenzer scoring seven points in the final six minutes.
- Vivian Guerrero led the Eagles attack with 10 points. The senior added six rebounds and three assists.
- Senffner posted eight points, dished out four assists and pulled down five rebounds.
- Ava Berg and Mady VaneStreek posted eight points for the Eagles on Wednesday night.
- 15 different Eagles scored in the conference victory, with 46 points coming off the bench.

- Vivian Guerrero is the 12th player in Eagles history to reach 1,000 career-points. Megan Scheele (2005-09) is the Eagles all-time leading scorer with 2,120 points.
- Grenzer posted a career-best seven points through six minutes on the court.
