MADISON- Men's Volleyball returned to the Todd Wehr Edgedome Thursday night to continue their nonconference slate. They battled with the UW-Stevens Point Pointers. The Pointers (4-3) took advantage of a strong offense to earn a 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-22) victory over the Eagles (1-4).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After holding onto a slim advantage through the opening serves, UW-Stevens Point took command of the first set with an 11-3 burst as Edgewood College struggled to find answers. The Pointers outhit the Eagles .375-to-.034 as they claimed a 1-0 lead in the match.

- Two kills and an ace earned UW-Stevens Point three unanswered points for an 8-4 lead in set two. A later 8-2 run propelled them to a 19-10 lead as they cruised to a 2-0 lead in the match.

- Pointers errors and Edgewood College defense put the hosts on the right foot with a 5-2 rally in set three for an 8-6 edge. UW-Stevens Point regained their footing with a 9-3 rally to hold onto a 19-14 lead, but a 7-2 answer from the Eagles tied things up at 21-21. The Pointers finished the set and match strong with a 4-1 stretch.

- UW-Stevens Point had a .270-to-.090 lead in hitting percentage and a 41-to-25 edge in kills.

- Hudson Dresen sparked the Pointer offense with 16 kills and a .438 hitting percentage on 32 attempts.

- Sam Jolin tallied 31 assists as the setter and Liam Robinson 15 digs as the libero.
