Dubuque, Iowa – Ayden Price impressed for the Eagles at the Moco Mercer Open hosted by the University of Dubuque on Saturday. Price set the school record in the Long Jump and posted three times in the Eagles top-10 lists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Price opened 2025 breaking a nine-year school record in the Long Jump. Price won the event at the Moco Mercer Open with a distance of 6.87 meters. Kadin Wojcik also competed in the long jump, recording a distance of 4.74 meters.
- Wojcik added a personal-best distance of 9.29 meters in the shot put. The senior posted a time of 10.60 in the 60 meter hurdles prelims.
- Price led a trio of Eagles in the 60 meter dash prelims. Price's time of 7.20 was fourth-fastest in program history. Yitzak Tristan added a time of 8.02. Miguel Meza came across the finish line in 8.48.
- In the 60 meter dash final, Price set the third fastest time in program history with a mark of 7.16 to finish seventh.
- Price (37.80), Wojcik (42.73), Tristan (43.05), and Meza (48.71) competed in the 300 meter on Saturday. Price's time was a personal best and third fastest in program history.
- Nick Pacubas competed in the 600 meter for the first time. His time of 1:39.19 was good for seventh.
- Brett Cox finished 10th in the Mile run with a time of 5:04.37.
