MADISON- Looking to get back on the right track, Men's Basketball hosted another Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) bout at the Todd Wehr Edgedome Wednesday. They faced off with the Concordia Chicago Cougars. The Cougars (6-10, 4-7 NACC) pulled ahead in a hard-fought contest with a 19-1 burst to down the Eagles (4-14, 3-8 NACC) 79-73.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a pair of layups had Edgewood College ahead 8-4 at 15:48, five in a row from Concordia Chicago helped set the tone for the next five minutes. Neither team would take more than a possession lead until back-to-back jumpers from the Cougars put them ahead 17-13 at 10:51.

- After trailing by five, the Eagles clawed back to a 25-25 draw at 5:36 with a 9-4 rally. Another unanswered five points had Concordia Chicago leading 33-28, but Edgewood College battled back to a 39-39 draw with a
Trent Tousana three with :57 remaining, before a timely tip-in from
Drew Houtakker at the buzzer sent the Eagles to the locker room with a 43-42 edge.

- Each team tied the score eight times in the first half.

- The first five minutes of the second half saw a similar story to the first, with the teams deadlocked at 53 apiece at 15:30. The Cougars struck first in a big way, going on a 19-1 tear that saw Edgewood College plagued with turnovers over 4:16 to lead 69-54. Nine unanswered from the Eagles trimmed the lead to 69-63 with 6:33 remaining, but the Concordia Chicago lead never dipped below five for the last minutes as they claimed the road victory.

- The Cougars had a 29-to-8 edge in points off turnovers.

- Darrian Williams paced all scorers with 18 points. Jacob Collicott earned a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double.

- Houtakker tallied 11 points and 10 rebounds. He also contributed four blocks and three assists alongside the double-double.

- Tousana was a spark for the offense, leading Edgewood College with 16 points, seven assists, and three steals.

AC Strok rounded out the double-digit scorers for the hosts with 14 and 13 points respectively.

- Tousana and Strok each had career highs in points. Tousana's seven assists were also a personal best.

The Eagles will take the week off before hitting the road for more NACC matchups. They'll head south to Rockford, Ill. next Wednesday to take on the Rockford Regents. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
