No. 6 Warhawks down Eagles

VERONA, WIS. – The Edgewood College Eagles hosted their final nonconference matchup of the season Thursday evening. They hosted the UW-Whitewater Warhawks, ranked sixth in the latest D3baseball.com poll. The Warhawks (30-6) had a dominant performance on offense and defense in an 18-2 victory over the Eagles (17-16).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A home run to left field kicked off the scoring for UW-Whitewater, plating two runs for a 2-0 lead. The visitors would add on five more in the second before Brevin Brisack broke the ice for Edgewood College with a solo home run to left field.

- A two-run home run in the third and another run in the fifth made it 10-1 Warhawks. They put things well away in the seventh, adding on eight more runs. An error by the pitcher would allow the Eagles to plate a run in the bottom of the seventh with two outs to finalize an 18-2 tally.

- Michael Hikker Jr. was outstanding on the mound. He allowed one run in five innings pitched and struck out 10.
