SCHAUMBURG, ILL. – The Edgewood College Eagles headed south Saturday as they continued their Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) slate. They took on the Dominican Stars in a doubleheader. The Stars (13-18, 5-11 NACC) took home game one 10-7 with a late rally, but the Eagles (15-14, 9-7 NACC) replied in kind with six unanswered runs in a 9-6 comeback victory in game two.
GAME ONE: DOMINICAN 10, EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 7
- After a passed ball helped
Kyle Sagan reach home in the first, the Stars put together three runs in the bottom of the inning. A single to right field followed be a bases-loaded walk and a sacrifice fly to right field left things 3-1 Dominican after one.
- Mistakes plated a run for Edgewood College in the second to put them on the board. The bats bounced back to take the lead with a big fourth inning. A throwing error brought in a run, before
Brooks Kalscheur hit a two-RBI single to right field. Another throwing error brought in a runner, and a
Xavier Schreiber single to left field put the Eagles ahead 7-3 after four.
- A sacrifice fly to center field and a single to left field each tallied a run for the Stars in the fifth. They took advantage of errant pitching to start off the sixth to tally a run with a bases-loaded walk. A fielder's choice tied things up for Dominican, while a one-RBI single to center field ended up as the winning run.
- After the Stars tacked on a pair of insurance runs for a 10-7 edge, their defense would clamp down on Edgewood College in the seventh to secure the victory.

Ryan Mixey pitched five innings and struck out seven Dominican batters.
- Sagan recorded a double and three runs. Kalscheur added on a pair of RBIs, while Schreiber finished game one hitting 2-for-4.
GAME TWO: EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 9, DOMINICAN 6
- The Stars struck first with a passed ball tallying a run in the first. Three more would cross home in the second. After Dominican loaded the bases, a hit by pitch, a walk, and a sacrifice fly to center field each recorded a run for a 4-0 lead.
- Both squads plated runs in the fourth. A
Brevin Brisack grounder to first batted in a run, while a double to center field left things at 5-1 Stars.

Terry Tolliver Jr. brought the Eagles into striking distance with a two-run home rn in the fifth. After a groundout to the shortstop made it 6-3 Dominican, Edgewood College closed the gap in the sixth. A sacrifice fly to center field from Sagan plated a leadoff triple from
Kyle Prindle.
Ryan Harris singled home a run through the left side, while
Daniel Bentivegna tied things up with an RBI double to center field.
- After two innings of scoreless action, the Eagles took the lead in the ninth. A wild pitch scored a runner after Edgewood College loaded the bases.
Dylan Carrington scored a pair with a single up the middle for a 9-6 lead to finalize the tally.

Drew Lenz shined as he earned the victory. He tossed four innings in relief, allowing one hit and no runs.
- Prindle, Sagan, and Harris each recorded multi-hit games. Prindle earned a triple, while Sagan hit a double.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Edgewood College has hit 16 triples this season. The mark matches the previous high watermark set by the 2010 squad.
- Their 16 triples also leads the NACC
- Prindle heads the conference with a .541 on-base percentage.
