GLENDALE, WIS. – The baseball squad headed east Tuesday afternoon for more conference action. They faced off with the MSOE Raiders in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) doubleheader. The Raiders (17-8, 11-3 NACC) claimed a sweep with 14-3 and 13-8 victories over the Eagle (14-13, 8-6).
GAME ONE: MSOE 14, EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 3
- The Eagles kicked off the scoring with a
Carson Richter RBI single to left field for a 1-0 lead in the top of the second. Raiders plated a run in the second to even the score after two. A double down the left field line and a single to center field left things at 4-1 MSOE after three.
- The Raiders put the game out of reach with a 10-run fifth inning. A single to left field and a single to right field started the scoring. After a sacrifice fly to center field plated another, MSOE would add on one more run before a three-run RBI gave them an 11-1 lead. They would bring home three more runs for a 14-1 advantage after five.

Xavier Schreiber doubled down the left field line for a run in the sixth, before Richter wrapped up the scoring with a sacrifice fly to right field.

Terry Tolliver Jr., and
Ryan Harris each recorded a stolen base in the affair.
GAME TWO: MSOE 13, EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 8 (8 INNINGS)
- The Eagles struck first in game two. Harris brought in a run with a ground out to third base before
Kyle Sagan singled to right center to tally another. A solo home run for the Raiders would leave it at 2-1 after two.
- Edgewood College rolled in the third. Richter started things with an RBI single to center field. Sagan's single to right fight sent home two.
Brooks Kalscheur singled up the middle for another run, before a
Kyle Prindle double plated a pair.
- MSOE rallied in the fourth. A single up the middle kicked off the scoring before a double and another single up the middle added two runs each to cut the lead down to 8-6. A wild pitch and a ground-rule double plated a run each. A two-run double to right center wrapped up the scoring and put MSOE ahead 10-8 after four.
- The Raiders added on insurance in the fifth. A passed ball brought in a run, while a two-RBI single to left center wrapped up the scoring.
- The game was called after the top of the eighth due to the weather.
- Sagan, Kalscheur, and
Daniel Bentivegna each had a pair of hits. Sagan added in three RBIs.
- Blake Hall hit three-for-four with three RBIs and a pair of doubles for the Raiders
UP NEXT
The Eagles will take a few days off before hitting the road for more NACC action. They will travel to Schaumburg, Ill. to take on the Dominican Stars. First pitch is scheduled for noon on Saturday in the doubleheader.
