VERONA- The Edgewood College Eagles baseball squad kicked off a busy week of games Wednesday. They hosted the Concordia Wisconsin Falcons in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action. The Eagles (12-8, 6-2 NACC) had a great day at a near-perfect Stampfl Field, winning game one 19-8 and game two 6-1 over the Falcons (11-14, 6-6).

GAME ONE: EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 19, CONCORDIA WISCONSIN 8
- The Eagles' bats were relentless in game one, scoring in each inning.
Terry Tolliver Jr. grounded to shortstop to start the scoring, while a key error by second base allowed two more runs to score for an early 3-0 edge.

- A solo shot to center field by the Falcons netted a run in the top of the second, but a
Kyle Prindle single to center field scored a pair for a 5-1 edge. Both teams would score twice in the third. A sacrifice fly to center field tallied one and a single to left center plated another for the Falcons, but a
Carson Richter two-run home run to left field erased the gains.

Brooks Kalscheur singled to left field for a run in the fourth for a 9-3 advantage, the Eagles' offense kicked into gear. They scored eight runs in the fifth, taking full advantage of Concordia Wisconsin mistakes. An error by second base would help plate one, while a
Kyle Sagan single to left field scored another. Prindle continued his strong game one with a single to center field netting another. A Tolliver double to left center added a pair to the tally.
Brevin Brisack and
Dylan Carrington had back-to-back home runs to left field and right center respectively for a 16-3 gap after five.

- The visitors would add a pair in the sixth, but the Edgewood College offense continued to roll. Sagan doubled in a run to fight field, while Kalscheur grounded out to third base to tally another run. Prindle wrapped up the offense on the day for the Eagles with a RBI single to right field.

- Sagan hit 4-for-4 with five runs and two RBIs for game one and had a pair of singles, a double, and a triple.

- Prindle hit 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Kalscheur was the other multi-hit batter for the hosts, finishing 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs.

- Brisack and Tolliver had four and three RBIs respectively.

Gavin Vrana had a strong start, tossing six innings and fanning nine.

GAME TWO: EDGEWOOD COLLEGE 6, CONCORDIA WISCONSIN 1
- Sagan led off game two for the Eagles with a solo shot to right field in the bottom of the first.
Jacob Carney added another home run, this time to center field, in the third for a 2-0 edge.

Aidan Williams was outstanding in the win, tossing seven innings of four-hit ball. He tossed five strikeouts and allowed one run, a sacrifice fly to right field in the fourth.

- After an errant throw by the catcher allowed Edgewood College to plate one in the fourth, they continued to add more insurance runs in the later innings. Brisack hit a two-RBI single through the left side in the seventh. Carney finished off the scoring with a single to center field in the eighth plating another.

- Tolliver had two hits and a pair of stolen bases in game two. Carney and Brisack also had two hits for the Eagles.

Ryan Mixey shined in relief. He pitched two hitless innings with a pair of strikeouts to keep the Falcons' bats silent.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Sagan is second in the NACC with a .426 batting average.
- Prindle leads the NACC with a .563 on-base percentage. Sagan is third with a .536 percentage.

- The 19 runs in game one matched the season high for the Edgewood College offense and the three home runs were a season high.

- The one run allowed in game two equaled the season best for the Eagles defense.
