ORLANDO, FLA. – Wrapping up their Spring Break trip, the Edgewood College Eagles women's tennis squad continued their nonconference slate Thursday. They faced off with the Hope Flying Dutchmen. The Flying Dutchmen (8-3) used a strong doubles performance to win 6-3 over the Eagles (11-6).

Cecile Fuchs and
Evelyn Taylor battled hard in top doubles, dropping an 8-5 final.
- The pairs of
Jewel Lindwall/
Maddy Coopmans and
Madelyn Connaughty/
Ellie Murphy in second and third doubles fell by 8-4 margins.
- Taylor played well as the no. 3 singles player, winning by a 6-3, 6-3 decision.

Christina Ekkela and
Cassie Henderson were also highlights. Ekkela put together a dominant 6-0, 6-2 tally in fifth singles. Henderson found herself locked in a tight affair, but earned a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) victory as the no. 6 singles player.
- Fuchs fell 6-0, 6-1 in top singles. Lindwall lost 6-3, 6-0 in second billing.
- Murphy battled in fourth singles, losing 6-4, 6-4.

Edgewood College will take some time off before returning to play. They will host the UW-Stevens Point Pointers on Saturday, April 6. First serve is scheduled for 11:00 p.m. at Quann Park.
