ORLANDO, FLA. – The Edgewood College Eagles men's tennis squad wrapped up their Spring Break trip Thursday afternoon. They faced off with the Hope Flying Dutchmen in non-conference action. The Flying Dutchmen (5-6) claimed an 8-1 victory over the Eagles (1-8).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hope put together a strong start in doubles. They earned an 8-2 victory in top doubles billing over
Caden Nelson and
Andrew Hoffmann.

Jon Olafsson and
Marek Woytasik dropped an 8-1 final in the second slot before
Ethan Towne and
William Faley fell 8-0 in no. 3 doubles.
- Olafsson continued to play well in singles as the no. 2 player. He earned the lone match point for Edgewood College with an impressive comeback in 1-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-6) fashion.
- Nelson lost 6-1, 6-2 in no. 1 singles while Hoffmann fell 6-1, 6-0 in third billing.
- Woytasik hung around in the fourth slot, losing to a 6-4, 6-1 decision.
- Towne lost 6-1, 6-0 in fifth billing before Faley wrapped up the day with a 6-0, 6-0 loss as the no. 6 singles.
UP NEXT
The Eagles return home to kick off conference play. They will take on the MSOE Raiders at Quann Park Saturday, March 23. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. against the defending NACC champions.
