ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FLA. – The Edgewood College Eagles men's tennis squad continued their Spring Break trek Wednesday. They faced off against the UW-La Crosse Eagles in more nonconference action. UW-La Crosse (10-5) put together a strong performance in a 9-0 sweep of Edgewood College (1-7).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UW-La Crosse set the tone early with an 8-0 sweep in no. 1 doubles against
Caden Nelson and
Andrew Hoffmann.

Jon Olafsson and
Marek Woytasik fell 8-3 in the second slot and the tandem of
Ethan Towne and
William Faley dropped an 8-1 decision in third billing.
- Olafsson battled in no. 2 singles. He lost 7-6 (7-1), 6-1 to Brady Horstmann.
- Nelson fell 6-2, 6-2 in no. 1 singles while his doubles partner Hoffmann was defeated 6-0, 6-1 in third billing.
- UW-La Crosse wrapped up the affair with 6-0, 6-0 victories in the final three slots. Woytasik battled in no. 4 singles, Towne the fifth slot, and Faley as the sixth singles player.
UP NEXT
Edgewood College will wrap up their Spring Break tomorrow afternoon. They will look to bounce back against the Hope Flying Dutchmen in their first meeting since 2017. The match is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. EDT in Orlando, Fla.
