ORLANDO, FLA. – The men's tennis squad continued their Spring Break stay down south Monday morning. They faced off with the Roger Williams Hawks in a battle of avians. The Hawks (4-2) had control of the match, winning 9-0 over the Eagles (1-6).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Roger Williams opened doubles play with an 8-0 sweep against
Ethan Towne and
William Faley in third billing.

Marek Woytasik and
Jon Olafsson fell 8-1 in the second slot, while
Caden Nelson and
Andrew Hoffmann dropped an 8-3 final as the no. 1 pair.
- Olafsson hung tough in solo action. As the no. 2 player, he bounced back from a 6-3 loss in set one and battled in the second set looking to force a tiebreaker. He would fall 7-6 (7-2) to drop the match.
- Nelson competed well in top billing in singles. He dropped a 7-5, 6-3 final.
- Towne and Faley would lose in 6-0, 6-0 fashion in fifth and six singles respectively. Hoffman lost to a 6-1, 6-0 tally in no. 3 singles and Woytasik to a 6-1, 6-1 score.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The meeting was the first ever between the two squads.

Edgewood College will take a day off before returning to the courts to face a familiar foe. They will take on the UW-La Crosse Eagles on Wednesday. First serve is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. EST in the ninth meeting between the two squads.
