TUCSON, ARIZ. – Looking to carry their strong start to the Tucson Invitational Games onward, the baseball team faced off with the Crown Polars Monday afternoon. The Eagles (4-4) pitchers shined against the Polars (1-2), tossing 10 strikeouts with only four hits allowed as they won 4-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College led off the third inning with back-to-back singles. Loading the bases, a

Kyle Prindle sacrifice fly to right field left the Eagles ahead 2-0.
- A single to right field scored the lone run of the day for the Polars in the fourth.
- Crown mistakes would help the Eagles tack on insurance runs late. An error by the shortstop in the seventh would score one, while a throwing error from the pitcher in the eighth added another unearned run, the final of the day.
