MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's basketball team locked down their fourth-straight victory; a 72-57 final over Rockford University. The Eagles had four players finish in double figures in the NACC victory, as Jayden Nortier paced Edgewood College in their 11th NACC win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After leading 37-32 at halftime, Edgewood College (12-9, 11-1 NACC) came out of the break and showed off their top-notch defense. The Eagles held the Regents to just nine points in the third quarter and took a critical 14 point lead (55-41) into the final 10 minutes.
- The largest lead to Edgewood College came with 1:59 in the fourth quarter, as seven-straight points from the Eagles resulted in a 70-50 score.
- Edgewood College shot their best in the second quarter, recording 60 percent (9-for-15) shooting from the floor.
- Rockford University (9-12, 5-7 NACC) hung tight with the Eagles through the first quarter, trailing by just one points (17-16) after the first ten minutes. The Regents ended the first quarter on a seven point scoring run, their best of the afternoon.
- The Eagles starting five dominated on Saturday, with Jayden Nortier leading the way scoring 22 points. Kallie Norby (17 points), Grace Vesperman (10 points), and Vivian Guerrero (10 points) all scored in the double digits for Edgewood College.
- Guerrero led the Eagles with eight assists, while Norby dished out six assists, and Kenzie Senffner added five of her own.
- The duo of Guerrero and Norby continued to lead the rebounding game with nine apiece.
THE OPPOSITION
- Katie Paredes led the Regents with 10 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the floor. Nia Wilkerson added eight points and dished out three assists. Grace Vyborny led the team with four assists.
- Tyra Clark and Vyborny both pulled down seven rebounds.

- The Eagles complete the season sweep over the Regents, having dominated in a 72-57 final on December 6, 2023.
- Edgewood College improves their overall record to 30-9 over Rockford. The Eagles have won the last three games.
