DE PERE, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's basketball team dropped a 54-43 conference contest at St. Norbert College on Saturday afternoon. In a defensive battle, both teams struggled at times offensively, both recording quarters with less than 10 points on the afternoon. The Green Knights took advantage of a strong third quarter to down the Eagles in just their second conference loss of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (13-10, 12-2 NACC) led 26-23 when the third quarter began. After what was a strong first two quarters for the Eagles, St. Norbert (15-9, 12-3 NACC) responded with a whopping 21 points in the third quarter. For good measure, the Green Knights held the Eagles to just six points and took a significant 12 point (44-32) advantage into the final quarter.
- The Eagles posted 11 points in the final 10 minutes, but it wasn't enough to overtake St. Norbert for the victory.
- Edgewood College recorded a 38.89 shooting percentage (7-for-18) in the second quarter, their best of the afternoon.
- Three-point shooting made the difference after halftime. Both teams went into the locker room without having made a bucket from beyond the arc. The Green Knights made 3-of-6 in the third quarter and 2-of-4 in the fourth, while the Eagles made just one three-point shot in the final quarter.
TOP PERFORMERS
- Vivian Guerrero posted her eighth-straight game with double-digit scoring, leading the Eagles with 18 points. She added five rebounds and four blocks.
- Kallie Norby recorded 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the floor. She pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
- Kenzie Senffner dished out three assists, pulled down six rebounds, and added two steals.
THE OPPOSITION
- Taylor Thiry posted 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds for the Green Knights. She added three steals for good measure.
- Chloe Gruszynski recorded eight points and seven rebounds.
- Macy Mercer added seven rebounds, four assists, and three points.

- The Eagles will host Wisconsin Lutheran College on Wednesday. Action is set for 7:00 p.m. from the Todd Wehr Edgedome.
