RIPON, Wis. – The Edgewood College men's track & field team competed at the Ripon Winter Open on Saturday. Ayden Price, Miguel Meza and Yitzak Tristan made their debuts for the Eagles, while Kadin Wojcik displayed his versatility in both sprint and throw events on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Price, Meza and Wojcik competed for the Eagles in the 60 meter prelims on Saturday. Price finished fifth in the prelims, finishing the event in 7.25 which goes down as the fifth fastest time in program history. Meza and Wojcik both finished the event in 8.43.
- Wojcik and Meza also competed in the 300 meter. Wojcik led the way with a time of 42.67 while Meza came across the finish line in 47.11.
- Price competed in the long jump. The freshman added his second fifth place finish of the afternoon with a distance of 6.41 meters. His jump ties the fourth longest distance in indoor program history.
- Wojcik posted a throw of 8.04 meters in the shot put. The seniors 18th place throw is good for fourth on the Eagles honor roll list.
- Meza, Price, Tristan and Wojcik competed in the 4x200 meter relay on Saturday. The Eagles were the only team to compete in the event, finishing in 1:43.20.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will return to the track on Saturday, January 25 at the University of Dubuque. The Eagles will compete at the Moco Mercer Challenge in Dubuque, Iowa.
