Eagles fall to Warriors in NACC battle

WAUWATOSA, Wis. – Junior Greta Blau scored in the 84th minute, but two goals from Wisconsin Lutheran College earlier in the match was too much for Edgewood College. The Eagles suffered their third conference loss of the season via a 2-1 final on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Blau's goal late in the second half was too little too late for Edgewood College (7-3-1, 2-3-0 NACC). Riley Haertle managed two shots in the final five minutes, but neither of her shots could connect for the equalizer.

- Both teams would go into halftime scoreless, as only five shots were taken between the two teams in the first half of action.

- Aleana Zastrow scored her second goal of the season to put Wisconsin Lutheran (6-3-1, 2-2-1 NACC) up 1-0 in the 56th minute.

- Zastrow found the back of the net in the 80th minute, via a penalty kick goal.

- The Eagles only trailed the Warriors by one shot (11-10) on the afternoon. Both teams put five shots on goal.

- Blau led Edgewood College with four shots, all on goal. Haertle added three shots of her own.

- Emma Swenson recorded three saves in net for Edgewood College. Her counterpart Sam Schroeder made four saves for the Warriors.
