Late goal lifts Edgewood College past Benedictine

VERONA, Wis. – A last-minute goal from Emma Miller lifted Edgewood College past Benedictine University on Wednesday night. In the battle of the Eagles, the Edgewood College attack pushed hard in the first half, taking 17 shots in the first half and 14 in the second.  

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With just 1:20 on the clock, a last effort off the foot of Emma Miller dribbled its way into the goal to give Edgewood College (7-2-1, 2-2-0 NACC) the 1-0 victory.

- Edgewood College took a whopping 31 shots on Wednesday evening, putting 16 on goal.

- Benedictine (0-9-2, 0-4-1 NACC) goalkeeper KP Prochnow kept Edgewood College off the board on Wednesday night, making 15 saves, 13 of which came in the first half of action.

- Megan Hines posted seven shots for Edgewood College, putting six on goal. Greta Blau added seven shots of her own, with three on goal.

- Emma Swenson and Hailey Corcoran split time in goal for Edgewood College. Swenson making two saves, while Corcoran added one save in the second half.

- Edgewood College extends their lead in the all-time series versus Benedictine to 17-4. Edgewood College has won the last three contests in the battle of the Eagles.
