PLYMOUTH, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's soccer team snapped a two-game losing streak on Saturday, as they defeated Lakeland University 1-0. The Eagles controlled most of the contest on Saturday afternoon, leading with 18 shots. Grace Johnson's penalty kick goal gave the Eagles the 1-0 final in conference action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (9-5-2, 3-5-1 NACC) controlled most of the contest with a 19-2 edge in shots. It was a penalty kick goal from Johnson in the 66th minute that proved to be the difference in the contest.
- Kamy Luecke led the Eagles attack with five shots, two on goal. Riley Heartle added four shots, two on goal.
- 13 of the Eagles shots came in the first half of action, while both shots from Lakeland University (1-9-3, 0-6-3 NACC) came in the second half.
- Hailey Corcoran earned the start and the win in net for the Eagles. Her counterpart, Ingrid Steinbock managed eight saves in net for the Muskies.

- Edgewood College leads the all-time series versus Lakeland 39-4. The Eagles own a 22-contest winning streak over the Muskies.
