Eagles streak snapped by Falcons

MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's basketball team dropped a 56-45 NACC contest against Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon inside the Todd Wehr Edgedome. The Eagles struggled offensively on Saturday and struggled to find their rhythm in their first conference loss of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With 43 seconds remaining in the first quarter, Concordia Wisconsin (8-8, 5-3 NACC) took a 12-11 lead to end the first quarter with a one point lead. Although the three-point make from Ava Booth seemed standard, it was just enough shift for the Falcons, as they never looked back.

- The Falcons held the Eagles to just eight points in the second quarter and scored a game-best 21 points to take a 33-19 lead at halftime. Edgewood College (8-9, 7-1 NACC) struggled to find a balance on Saturday, shooting just 33.33 percent (4-of-12) from the floor in the second quarter.

- The third quarter was much of the same, as the Eagles only made one basket from the floor in the third quarter. The Falcons managed just 13 points coming out of the break, taking a 20 point lead into the final 10 minutes of action.

- Edgewood College saved their best for last, scoring 19 points in the final quarter. With 1:39 remaining, a three-point make from Jayden Nortier reduced the Falcons lead to just eight points. Despite shooting a game-high 61.54 percent (8-of-13) from the floor in the final quarter, the Eagles couldn't find their way past the Falcons.

- Vivian Guerrero posted a 17 point, 12 rebound double-double for the Eagles. Kenzie Senffner added eight points and three assists.

THE OPPOSITION
- Andrea Butterbrodt and Erin Viergutz led the Falcons attack, both scoring in double-digits on Saturday. Butterbrodt posted 12 points, while Viergutz added 11 points.
