Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Eagles shutout Warriors

VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's soccer team continued to roll past NACC opponents, taking down Wisconsin Lutheran College 3-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles secured their fourth-straight NACC win, to improve to 4-2-0 in conference play. Edgewood College opened with an early goal from Greta Blau. Two late goals secured the victory at Edgewood College Field at Reddan Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Blau scored first for the Edgewood College (6-3-3, 4-2-0 NACC), just like she has done many times this season. Her fifth goal of the season came in just the 16th minute, assisted by Leah Doucette. Her goal would stand through the majority of the contest, as the Eagles defense was hard at working keeping the Warriors attack at bay.

- The Eagles took advantage of a worn-out Wisconsin Lutheran College (6-3-1, 3-3-0 NACC) defense, scoring twice in the final five minutes to guarantee the victory. Doucette found the back of the net off a deflected pass from Jessi Crivello in the 86th minute. With just 40 seconds remaining, Rylee Brotz netted her seventh goal of the season, assisted by Annika Preusker to give Edgewood College the 3-0 victory.

- Edgewood College outshot the Warriors 21-9 on Saturday, with six shots on goal. Blau led the way with eight shots, while Brotz added six of her own.

- Hailey Corcoran and Hailey Hartel split time in net, with Hartel coming away with three saves.

- Kallista Street managed three saves in net for the Warriors. Ella Miller took three shots for Wisconsin Lutheran.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Edgewood College extends their winning-streak vs Wisconsin Lutheran to six games. The Eagles lead the all-time series 37-3-1.

UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will host Mount Mary in non-conference action on Monday. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m. from Edgewood College Field at Reddan Park.
