BELOIT, Wis. – Leah Doucette scored in the 67th minute for the Edgewood college women's soccer team as they played Beloit College to a 1-1 draw. In the Eagles non-conference battle, Doucette's goal was the equalizer as the Buccaneers struck eight minutes into the second half.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team was able to find the back of the net through the first 45 minutes of action. Edgewood College (4-3-3) managed just three shots, two on goal in the first half of action. Beloit College (2-5-1) took four shots, two on goal before the break.
- Coming out of halftime, Greta Blau managed a shot on goal but it wasn't enough, as Abigial Membrino netted the first goal of the afternoon in favor of Beloit College. Membrino's goal in the 54th minute was assisted by Lauryn Volza and Aspen Valentine.
- Doucette and the Eagles responded back, scoring in the 67th minute to create the eventual tie.
- Edgewood College finished with eight shots, compared to seven from Beloit. Doucette, Kamy Luecke, and Blau led the Eagles with two shots each.
- Hailey Hartel and Hailey Corcoran split time in net for the Eagles. Corcoran's two saves came in the first 45 minutes.

- Edgewood College will return to conference play on Wednesday. The Eagles will travel to Lisle, Ill. to face Benedictine at 7:00 p.m.
