Second half scoring lifts Falcons past Eagles

MEQUON, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's soccer team struggled to find an offensive spark on Saturday afternoon, falling to Concordia University Wisconsin 4-0. The Falcons scored all four goals in the second half, handing the Eagles their fourth conference loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (7-5-3, 4-4-0 NACC) and Concordia Wisconsin (4-6-2, 3-4-1 NACC) remained scoreless going into halftime. Neither team found the back of the net through the first 45, which saw only five total shots, three coming from the Eagles.

- The Falcons first scored in the 59th minute, as Isabella Rapp found the back of the net, assisted by Sabrina Moore. Concordia Wisconsin opened the floodgates, as Sheridan Dorge gave the Falcons a 2-0 advantage in the 60th minute. Selena Esten was responsible for the final two goals for Concordia Wisconsin, one coming in the 64th minute, the other in the 86th.

- Reese Meszaros, Anika Preusker, Leah Doucette, Kayla Kerkman, and Great Blau all gave Edgewood College on goal opportunities in the final 45 minutes. Blau led the Eagles with three shots, one on goal. Kerkman managed two shots, one on goal.

- Hailey Hartel recorded six saves for Edgewood College on the afternoon. Her counterpart, Brooke Braga made five saves for the Falcons.

- Edgewood College will return home to host Dominican University on Wednesday. Action is set for 7:00 p.m. from Edgewood College Field at Reddan Park.
